A Crafty Way of Reshaping Your Life

What do we do?

We facilitate a diversity of programs conducted at the Hope Center, a collaboration and partnership between WHEN and the Airway Heights Police Department, to help overcome crises due to health, income, and social status.

  • WHEN’s warehouse is located in the basement of the Hope Center. Services are by appointment only and our bimonthly WHEN Give-A-Way Program.

    All donations are new or gently used from individuals and organizations contributing to help the community. Items during the week are provided according to household need and the discretion of the General Manager, Michael Gardner. Please call (208) 389-8896 to set up an appointment.

  • Cleone’s Closet provides clothing, kitchen appliances, pictures, etc., and are free of charge. WHEN personnel can determine how many items an individual can receive. We are located on the first floor of the Hope Center. Services are available by appointment only. Please call (509) 321-7071.

  • A program of Airway Heights Police Department that helps with several different general support such as emergency funds, legal advocacy, referrals for therapy and criminal justice for victims of domestic violence. WPVS is located on the first floor of Hope Center.

    Services are Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. by appointment.

  • A designed program conducted by West Plains Police Department that will provide care coordination for people with complex, ongoing, unmet behavioral health needs and/or income instability who may lack shelter/housing, income, food, health care, and social networks, and for whom existing systems prove to be inaccessible, overly complicated, or insufficiently responsive. LEAD is located on the first floor of Hope Center.

Hope Center Purple Ribbon Cutting

After much anticipation, WHEN is pleased to announce the official opening of the Hope Center, celebrated with supporters, friends, and family. The ceremony included the symbolic cutting of the purple ribbon, marking the successful establishment of this significant center.

The Hope Center represents a collaborative effort between Airway Heights Police and WHEN, aimed at supporting individuals seeking protection from violent relationships. In addition to providing essential food and household goods, the center offers access to programs such as the West Plains Victim Services and the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD). Both programs, funded by grants, deliver advocacy, case management, and resources for victims of violence and those facing challenges related to behavioral health or substance misuse.

Services provided by Cleone’s Closet include clothing and household goods by appointment only on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Call 509-321-7071 to make an appointment. The Hope Center is located at 13326 W. Sunset Highway in Airway Heights.
